Cosmetic Gum Surgery Coquitlam

Evaluations of the gum tissues can be performed with digital photographs at some point in an appointment to the oral health care provider. By looking at the height of the gumline in relation to the other teeth, the oral health care professional can determine how symmetrical the gum tissues are, so they can try to fashion your smile with natural looking gum lines.

There are two different therapies dental clinicians use to flatten out the gum tissues. The first is a gum lift and the second is the periodontal graft. The gum lift calls for the taking away gum tissues to even out both sides of the mouth. The periodontal graft on the other hand requires the adding of periodontal tissues to a region which has serious gum recession or a poor root structure. This will help cover the tooth at the same time as also flattening out the gums around the adjacent teeth.

A periodontal specialist referred to as a Periodontist may be needed to perform the therapies based on how widespread the work required is. Healing time has a tendency to take about three to twelve weeks. Note - these procedures might be needed prior to the installation of any veneers or crowns.

Coquitlam City is considered the fifth largest city within the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. Originally the name Coquitlam was derived from the words, Kickininee or Kokanee, which is a fish coloured red and is similar to sockeye salmon. The place began as a "place-in-between" during the construction of North Road during the middle of 1800's, and its purpose was to give Royal Engineers within New Westminster access to the port's all-year facilities within Port Moody. During the 19th Century, Coquitlam grew when Frank Ross and James McLaren opened Fraser Mills, that was a lumber mill situated on the northern banks of the Fraser River. The following years saw the arrival of some contingents of French Canadian mill employees, and after WWII, Coquitlam and the Lower Mainland experienced a population explosion that still continues even at present...
